Great Escape Part 1

Yeah the Great Escape has just started. Awesome. I've been uncharacteristically excited about it all.

Despite threats of pouring rain the sun managed to creep out a gig on the beach (The Panama Kings). They weren't much good, but it's nice to get things underway.



Tonight i'm looking forward to seeing:

Kap Bambino
Fantastic looking (sounding) French band who are NOTHING LIKE CRYSTAL CASTLES. OK? ,-) Well in fact they're not that much, since they seem to be several times more punk rock, however some comparison is inevitable.

More musical genius from Bergen. Here they are playing 'The Golden Cage' with Erlend Oye. Which is about as good as things can get.



Fan Death

Somehow i've not seen Fan Death yet. I have a sneaky suspicion that they're a high budget Glass Candy, but well prepared to be proved wrong tonight. I've shamelessly stolen this new track from XXJFG. It's undeniably good, even if some of the strings seem to have been rearranged from Veronica's Veil.
